The University Park Campus is the home Nittany Lion sporting events such as football, soccer, wrestling, volleyball, basketball, fencing, gymnastics, field and ice hockey. There are two beautiful golf courses where you become the athlete. Penn State's Center for the Performing Arts brings many shows to Eisenhower and Schwab Auditoriums and the Playhouse and Pavilion Theaters that are performed by the same actors appearing in New York City or Washington DC. Shaver's Creek Environmental Center is a nature lover's haven. The Land Grant Frescoes painted by Henry Varnum Poor in 1940 and 1949 in the Old Main Rotunda depict the founding, aspirations and endeavors of this land grant university of Pennsylvania. And a "must see" is the Nittany Lion Shrine near Rec Hall where almost all alumni have had their photographs taken.
